Help: Classses of the players

In case of contradiction in rules in different languages, the piority is given to an English version of the rules.

Four main classes of players take part in the tournament: empire warrior, barbarian, pirate and crusader.

Empire warrior

It is a main class in the tournament. Warriors are both the major war power of empire and its protectors. Empire warriors may attack the neutral provinces and provinces of enemy empire. In case of victory - this province is adjoined to empire lands. The player's attack will cost 10 gold units. Warrior may not attack more than two provinces at a time.

The player may either be apponted as defender by a ruler or cause defence himself in case the enemy attack the province of his native empire. For this the defender gets 5 gold units from empire residents. If the battle for the province is lost, the empire loses its province, if won - the province stays as an empire part. in case the player was appointed to defend the province, but has not done it (technical defeat), then this player doesn't get gold units for protection.

Some warriors can be rulers. The rulers manage the empire and hold diplomacy on its behalf. The maximum number of rulers depend on type of ruling.

Barbarian

Barbarians can only be the beginners to the tournament. Their only purpose is to attack the provinces of the empire that border on neutral lands, ruin them thus getting gold instead.

If the capture is successful, the province loses it province (it becomes a neutral) and a barbarian gets 10 gold unit. If the barbarian has enough gold and he finds partners, the he can establish new empire. Price for the base of the empire - 50 gold from each of the barbarian/pirate (money transferred to the Vatican). If a barbarian has 50 or more gold units, he can join an empire that ready to accept him (money transferred to the Vatican). Barbarian can not have more than 50 gold.

05/02/2010 - attack is impossible
06/02/2010 and later - can attack.

Pirate

Pirates are former empire warriors that were withdrawn from their empire or had it destroyed. Pirates take their revenge attacking the coastal provinces of empires.

The empire loses its province in case of successful pirate attack, and a pirate gets 10 gold unit. If pirate has enough gold and can find partners, he may establish a new empire. Price for the base of the empire - 50 gold from each of the barbarian/pirate (money transferred to the Vatican). If pirate has more gold he can join an empire allowing him that (money transferred to the Vatican). Pirate can not have more than 50 gold.

Crusaders

Crusaders are elite warriors of Vatican fighting not for money bu for belief. They may attack both coastal provinces of empires and neutral province areas. Crusaders attack only the strongest empires. The province becomes neutral in case of crusaders' successful attack. Crusaders may change the appointed nation at game. In order to win the crusader, it is necessary to win him twice at a time. If crusader wins in at least one of two games, it is considered that his crusade is successful and province becomes neutral.
